Hannah’s Indonesian scholarship: from lighthouse keeper to international sustainability career
In 2017, Hannah's New Colombo Plan (NCP) scholarship saw her completing her honour's research on alternative tourism in the northern sea community of Desa Les, Bali.
The New Colombo Plan is a signature initiative of the Australian Government which aims to lift knowledge of the Indo-Pacific in Australia by supporting Australian undergraduates to undertake study, language training and internships in the region.
The New Colombo Plan involves a scholarship program for study of up to one year, language training and internships or mentorships, and as well as a flexible mobility program for both short and longer-term study, language study, internships, practicums and research.
